Slide Right Repairs services sliding glass doors, pocket doors, and window hardware along the Jacksonville–DeLand corridor in Northeast Florida. Most repairs — including roller replacement and track work — finish in a single visit, typically 45 minutes to two hours.

Why it failed

Florida doors don't wear out the way others do.

Salt air
Within a few miles of the coast, airborne salt corrodes steel bearings and the screws holding your track down. A roller rated for a decade elsewhere can seize in three years in Ponte Vedra.
Humidity
Constant moisture pulls grit into the track and turns it into an abrasive paste that grinds the wheel and the track at the same time.
UV exposure
Direct sun breaks down the weatherstripping and vinyl guides that keep the panel aligned. Once the seal fails, the door starts to rack.
Thermal cycling
Aluminum frames expand and contract every day between morning and afternoon. Over years that movement pulls the frame out of square.

Which is why most doors here fail at the roller and track long before anything is wrong with the glass or the frame. That's a repair, not a replacement.

Common questions

Before you call.

How much does sliding door repair cost?

Most roller and track repairs land in the $150–$450 range depending on the door and your location. We quote flat rate on site before starting, and the estimate is free.

Do I need to replace the whole door?

Usually not. Rule of thumb: if the repair costs less than 40% of replacement, repair it. Most doors we see need rollers and a track, not a new door. We'll tell you honestly when replacement is the better call.

How long does it take?

Most repairs run 45 minutes to two hours. Harder jobs — bent tracks, heavy panels, tight access — can run three.

Do you work on windows too?

Yes. Balances, cranks, locks and hardware on single-hung, double-hung and casement windows.

What do you need from me to schedule?

Your name, the address, a phone number, and a short description of what the door is doing. A photo helps us bring the right parts.
